This run of Nine Month Novel Gestation has SOLD OUT. For more info about the next one, please contact sarah@writershq.co.uk

In case you hadn’t noticed yet, writing a novel is haaaaard. And we don’t mean walking-up-a-steep-hill hard or having-to-tell-someone-they’ve-got-cake-on-their-chin hard, we mean like pushing something the size of a watermelon out of something the size of Smarties tube hard. But you know what? Every day, people do it. People have been doing it since the dawn of time. It’s one of the reasons that we’re so successful/cataclysmic as a species: our ability to do art. It’s what we were built for.

Think of this course like hypnobirthing for writers. NCT for novelists. Mothercare for motherfucking wordsmiths. This novel is coming out of you one way or another, we’re just here to make the process smoother, calmer, and full of appropriate medication.

This is a badass course for badass writers. You’ll start with a plan and finish with a novel. We won’t lie: it’s full-on. But the results are totally worth it.

AIMS OF THE COURSE

To guide you, step by step, towards an 80,000 word first draft novel in just nine months.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

You will need a plan for your novel. In 9MNG we hit the ground running and get writing pretty much straight away. We’re not going to spend a month or two rehashing the basics of plotting because we already know it – we’re going to crack on with writing writing writing and we’re taking everything we’ve learnt in Plotstormers and in going broader, deeper and wordier. YEAH!

Do you have to have taken Plotstormers first? We’d prefer it if you had, but we understand that’s not always possible. If you already have a plan of your novel and want to join the course, please feel free to send us a (3 page max) synopsis and we’ll let you know asap if you’re a good fit for 9MNG. Email hello@writershq.co.uk

Gladly! It’s £750 for the whole shebang, which works out about £83 a month. A mere snip to get your first draft delivered safely into the world.

Payment is in instalments and looks like this:

  • A one off deposit of £200
  • 8 x monthly instalments of £68.75

We don’t have any further discounts available for this course as it’s so ridiculously cheap already. Sorry!

T&C
The instalments will be taken on the first of the month. The first instalment will start the month after the £200 deposit is paid. If the direct debit is stopped before the final amount is paid and the course is ongoing, course access will be stopped. In this instance, we are unable to refund the course fee. If you find yourself in financial strife, please do contact us and we’ll see what we can do to help.
