Event Details

May?! How is it May already? Those bastard flowers are all over your hay fever and the seagulls are after your chips. Better hide away from madness and get on with some writing, eh? Get your shiz together and settle down for a whole day of writing and tea and biscuits and NO WIFI <gasp> because there’s only really one way to beat procrastination:

STOP FUCKING ABOUT AND START WRITING.

But it’s easier said than done, which is why these workshops exist.

At Worthing Writers’ Retreat, you’ll spend the day in a room with a bunch of writers, limitless caffeine and no internet. We’ll help you set your personal writing goal for the day and longer term. We’ll talk about your successes and blocks. And then you write. And write. And write.

A score board, gold stars, general silliness and supportive competitiveness will help you reach your targets and break you out of your bad habits.

In short: space to write. Bliss.

Who is this for?

This workshop is perfect for people with a project in progress that has stalled or been put aside while life takes over, or those with an idea they want to make a big start on, or those who want to drink tea and eat biscuits and write some words in a fun, supportive environment.

Including:

Lunch

Tea, coffee, biscuits

Where is it?

At the aaaammaaazing Freedom Works on Chatsworth Road, bang in the middle of town above the Raleigh shop and snuggled in between Fernandoz Grill and Molotov.

There’s plenty of parking around. Right next door is the Montague Centre and the long stay which are both about a tenner for the day. Then there’s the NCP on Union Place, which is a 5 minute walk and about £6 for the day if you book ahead. There is some on-street parking but it’s a controlled zone and costs £1.20 an hour.

It’s about a 15 minute walk from the train station – clicky here for directions.
