I've just enrolled on a course and I haven't got an email telling me what to do
You need to wait about five minutes for the email to come through. WE KNOW IT’S REALLY ANNOYING AND SORRY.
When you enroll there are three computers which need to talk to each other, which they do on a rolling five minute cycle. If you happen to book at the wrong end of that cycle it’s an interminable 300 second wait. We wish we could speed it up but we can’t. Go make a cup of tea and by the time you come back it’ll be there.
I'm not getting regular course emails
I can't log in
First, double check you’re using the right email address or username. Then reset your password using the reset password link. If you still can’t log in, get your head around this nonsense:
If you are enrolled on a course, you have two Writers’ HQ accounts. We know, we know, it seems annoyingly over-engineered but bear with us.
You have your account on this very website right here wot you are reading. That was made when you enrolled in a course or booked on a retreat (you were asked for a password at the checkout). You need that every time you come here to buy something, and we get people to make accounts so it’s easier for everyone to track who’s got what and whether it’s been delivered and blah blah.
You also have an account on our Interdimensional Creative Writing Wonderland, which is where all our courses are. They’re on a different bit of the internet because it’s just better that way, trust us. You would have been asked to create a password the first time you clicked the email link which takes you to the course.
Just double check you’re in the right place and using the right password.
