Here’s how it works – there’s four Flash Face Off prompts every month. You might get two really good stories from that. Sim-sub them to 10 magazines each month, and you can comfortably submit 100 times in one year.

Mathew Gostelow (he/him), known at Writers’ HQ for his slubbing (slutty subbing) and ability to send more work into the world than anyone we’ve ever known. He is the author of several books including a collection of speculative stories entitled See My Breath Dance Ghostly (Alien Buddha Press), Dantalion is a Quiet Place, a novella-in-flash (forthcoming, DarkWinter Lit) and Watcher, a horror-thriller he co-wrote with his friend JP Relph (Wolf Park Press).
