Writing Competitions & Opportunities – June 2020

Hey, so maybe this wasn’t the summer we were hoping for. Or the year. But here we are. Still writing. Still subbing. Still flinging our work out into the void and hoping someone likes it. Which, in the current circumstances, is a pretty amazing thing.

We need art right now. We need words and feelings and philosophy and ideas and tangential waffling about the human condition. So get yours down on the page and send it out there. Because someone wants to read it.

To help you out, we’ve put together over 70 writing competitions, opportunities, and excellent things with deadlines in June 2020, many of ’em free-to-enter, many of ’em with cash prizes, payments or other great opportunities.

(You could even challenge yourself to beat your own personal best with our Submit2020 challenge.)

And if you need a helping hand with finding story ideas, writing the damn things, editing, and getting published, we absolutely have your back.

So pick a listing, get writing, and submit, fine writers!
