Writing Competitions & Opportunities – May 2019

May the (submitting) force be with you, young padawans. Have you jumped on our #Submit2019 bandwagon yet? The premise is simple: just aim to submit at least one more piece of writing than you did last year. Easy, right? And we’re here to make it even easier with our frankly monumental listing of over 70 writing competitions and opportunities to enter in May 2019.

There’s sommat for everyone, whether you write poetry, flash fiction, short stories, novels, screenplays, plays; whether you’re after a cash prize, a retreat, the glory of publication, mentoring or help with creative development; whether this is your very first submission or your 100th – there’s bound to be something here for you.

So no excuses. Pick a listing. Send your work out there. Badabing. Badaboom.
